I will overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex two-time unified boxing king Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really happening.
